97 days to go!!
I am so excited! Check-in is in 97 days!! Time is starting to fly by. Even though I am so jealous of all the FA people, I think Fall will get here soon enough. Plus, I leave for FL in 92 days! Me and my dad are leaving on Thurs, Aug 6, and will arrive in Orlando on Fri, Aug 7 (the reason of that is that I put in availability to work a few character attendant shifts on Aug 7-9. So hopefully I get the shifts). And I also can't wait for the meet-up dinner on the 9th. I think it's going to be a lot of fun!

I've started thinking about what I will be bringing down with me. The initial program is 5 months long, but I am planning on extending it (so I would then be in FL from Aug 2009 to Aug 2010). I've also been thinking about things to do while on the CP. They include doing both sets of parties at the MK (mnsshp and mvmcp). I also want to do the CP at Epcot (I've never done it before, but I heard it is amazing!). Then there are the 4 character meals I need to do to have done them all, a few tours at the parks, F&W at Epcot, the 5 marathons (I'm already signed up for the Half in Jan. But I also really want to do the Princess Half in March, and the EE challenge in Sept. And I am considering the ToT 13K and the Race for the Taste 10K, both in Oct), going resort-hopping, and other things. After that, the plan is to hopefully go FT. I'm not sure where yet, or if it will even be possible (my dream role is character performer, and then character attendant). I just hope the economy will be better when the time comes.

Finally, I have been working on things I want to do over the summer (since it will be my first summer at home since 2004). Of course, there are my 2 summer classes (they go until July 9). I most likely will be working Fridays again, and perhaps work other days once the summer classes end. I officially signed up to do VBS on Sun. I want to work in the preschool, with my mom. And I will be going to a few baseball games this summer at Citi. Now, for the things I hope to do:
*See the 3 Disney shows on Broadway (especially Lion King, but also Mary Poppins and Little Mermaid). I wouldn't say no to getting Wicked and Shrek in there again.
*Save up for a new camera. I love my current one (especially since it has a video feature on it). But I really want a dSLR camera, so I can get better night shots. I am looking at Nikon, Canon, and Sony cameras, but I have no idea which ones are good (I do like the Nikon D60, and a couple of the Canons).
*Make the homemade autograph cards again. I made them in 2007, and they were a huge hit! I really want to make them again. And I hope to get a printer in FL, so I can keep printing them out.

Man, you're not getting there till August!? I'd be ripping my hair out with anticipation! I leave in 2 weeks, and I haven't even started packing yet!

Also, that is a LOT of stuff you want to do! There's stuff I know I want to do, but I don't know when they are, like when Food Network does their Candy Confection Challenge and they hold them at WDW, that would be awesome to see. But what are the parties at the MK? And by saying the CP at Epcot, do you mean transfering to that park? I want to do the tours of course, though I have no idea what you mean by F&W, and there is no way I'm doing the marathons. I'm not that cool. And FT???

Tell me about it! I wanted to do FA, but I have to take 2 summer classes (my last college classes ever!). So I could only do Fall. :(

The parties at MK are mnsshp (the Halloween parties) and mvmcp (the Christmas parties). mnsshp runs Sept-Oct, and mvmcp runs Nov-Dec (there are multiple dates for both). CP is actually the Candlelight Processional, in this case. It's a Christmas show at Epcot, and it is supposed to be really good. F&W is Food and Wine. It's a festival at Epcot. It's a showcase of many countries, and there are food and wine samples from each. Some of the food samples are really good! Finally, FT is Full-Time. If you have questions about any of the stuff at WDW, just let me know. :)

Well that's exciting! Good for you!

What do the abbreviations for the parties stand for? I'm a West Coast girl so I know much more about DL than WDW. I've obviously heard about the Candlelight Processional, but I was thinking the CP was just shortened from DCP lol. And the F&W festival is happening right now over at DCA! I had forgetten they did one at Epcot. And good luck on the FT! I want to work for Disney full time too, though not necessarily in the parks... Imagineering maybe, but still not sure, which is part of the reason I'm doing the program. I will be sure to keep in touch if anymore acronyms become confusing! :D

Thanks! :)

mnsshp is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, and mvmcp is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. They are a lot of fun!
